Option Theory and its Applications
Option trading is difficult. To learn everything about option theory, a beginning professional trader will get a six month education at a trading firm after which it might still take years to gain all the necessary experience. However, it all starts with the theory. There are many books about options and option theory like "Hull" and "Natenberg". These books are complicated if you are not a professional trader. Besides that, trading in practice is hardly discussed. There are also many simple books explaining call- and put options and discussing some simple option strategies.
My book aims at thoroughly explaining option theory, but it also includes many worked out examples and practical trading applications. This book is for the starting professional or private investor and is written from the perspective of a trader. This book will teach you all the ins and outs of option theory and upon completion, you know everything a professional option traders knows. It is written in the view of the author of how to teach option theory and its practical applications.
The main concepts are delta-neutral trading and volatility. Many think that a private investor cannot compete with professionals, yet this is only based on the absence of knowledge. This book is everything you need to obtain all the necessary knowledge.
